Looking to enroll with an on-campus or online degree, but you’re not sure what major to choose? Have you considered engineering?

Engineering is a very sought-after field these days and for good reason. Engineering skills can transcend the boundaries of geography and language. Once you’ve completed your traditional or online college course program in engineering you will be able to work anywhere in the world.

And that’s not the only reason people are turning to engineering. It’s also a very broad field that can produce specialists in different areas of expertise. There’s hardly a single aspect of our lives that can’t be improved by engineering experts.

You could opt for a degree in software engineering. Alternatively, a program in structural engineering could allow you to do awesome things like help build a bridge. Or you can attempt to reduce the problem of pollution by becoming an environmental engineer. The possibilities are endless and truly varied.

There’s another thing you should now about engineering. Out of all STEM fields, on-campus or online degree graduates in engineering have the highest chance of landing a job as soon as they graduate. That sounds pretty good, especially in this job market. Doesn’t it?

But wait there’s more. Did you know that those studying with traditional or online classes in engineering might have a better chance of getting funding?

How so? Well because there are numerous scholarship programs that exclusively targeting engineering students. Some are available for all STEM students, but select scholarships are only seeking out those pursuing a career in engineering.

Having a hard time stumbling upon such scholarships? Don’t worry. We’re here to give you a helping hand. Remember, scholarships are the best solution when you’re having money problems and find yourself unable to pay for your online college course program.

So finding and applying for scholarships becomes super important. In order to get you started on the right path, we’re going to share with you a scholarship example that is targeting future engineers.

The Frank M. Coda Scholarship is available for high-school seniors or engineering undergraduates who have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Being enrolled with on-campus or online classes in engineering is a must. On top of that, candidates must be pursuing a program that is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. Only students who are planning to work in heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration professions will be taken into consideration.

Pay attention to these demands, or you risk investing your time in applying for a scholarship you’re not eligible for.

Anyway, if what we told you above describes you perfectly, then let’s talk about how you can apply for the grant.

Head to the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers website and fill out the extensive application form.
